Bring Good News international would like to announce that Director Rick Wolford and Ian Lozada, who handles our website and videos, are going to be traveling to the Central and Eastern Visayas area of the Philippines from January 9-17 to aid our Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) relief team, led by Dr. Titus Bantiles. Our team will be ministering on 4 islands that have been hard hit by Typhoon Haiyan in November and by a 7.2 earthquake in October. The team will begin in Cebu, then travel to Bohol, before conducting medical clinics in Leyte and Samar, the two islands most devastated by the typhoon.
Please pray for our team, which is already ministering throughout the region. Please also pray for Rick and Ian’s travel, as well as all the logistics of securing more medicine for the medical team to disburse.
In addition, we need your donations to keep supporting the work in the Philippines. We’ve set up a fund for Philippines Typhoon Relief already on our donations page, but we’re also setting up a separate fund for supporting this specific trip, to smooth out logistics for Ian, Rick and the rest of their teams, paying for the ferries they’ll need to move from island to island, gas for the generators their host churches are using to generate electricity, and other needs that crop up over the course of the trip.
