Egypt

1,395 patients at 5 clinics held in Egypt received treatment and medicine. A clinic was held at Dair El-Barsha, a village that is 90% Christian believers.

Patients in Sedfa village awaiting to see the doctors.  During the clinics 121 Bibles, 153 New Testaments and 201 cassette tapes of portion of the Bible (for the illiterates) were given out free.

Training of 41 Sudanese lay leaders in a suburb of Cairo to prepare them to evangelize and plant churches in Sudan.

Safaa Fahmi of the Christian Arabic Services leads the training of lay leaders from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Sudan and Syria.

Mexico


7 clinics at 4 different sites in Mexico were held on March 12-18, 2006. 694 poor people – Christians and unbelievers - received medical and dental care.  Dr. Rose Oen is a missionary doctor from Indonesia.

Dr. Rehu Menchaca was excited because he said it was the first time a medical team came to their area. Rehu is also a minister of the gospel.

Surplus medicines were given to the medical/dental clinic in Monclova that serves 13 churches.

The medical team also provided Bibles and tracts during the clinics.  Over 250 Spanish Bibles and Christian literatures were given out.

Myanmar

We trekked 9 hours to reach a Ngwe Palaung village high up the mountain in Kalaw, Shan State.

On Feb.27,  torrential rain caused mudslide that buried a small village and killed over 1,000 people in Southern Leyte.
